Kelsey: Wedding Help

I have literally planned nothing weddingish. And I intend to put that off for as long as I can because planning sucks! I hate to plan anything! Even a wedding! I thought maybe I would get engaged and then I would suddenly love to plan a wedding. Stupid. I don't. I can't wait to marry Denis. I could skip the wedding part... unless someone else will plan it. Eh Sarah?

What I don't understand is this, because I was born with a uterus I should posses the skills to plan an event for hundreds of people? What? I do not. I posses the skills to bear children, event planning is not included in that package. (Our wedding will not have hundreds of people, but I'm just saying).

I do possess the skills to decorate.

So I am focusing on that part.

And I could use help.

I went to Sephora the other day (cards on the table I have been to like Sephora 3 times in the past month). They have these beautiful giant white and gold paper flowers in their windows for Christmas.

So pretty right? So after Christmas they give some to employees who want them and the rest they throw away! And I want them! But I will be gone for the whole week after Christmas which is when they say they are taking them down. Plus I am guessing I would need to get some from like 12 Sephora stores. So if you live near Sephora and will be around on the 26th would you collect some paper flowers for me?

Sarah: How is Uganda?

Uganda is awesome. The weather is perfect (everyday), the people are lovely, the traffic is crazy, the food is delicious, and my family is better than I ever could have imagined. Here are some things I love about Uganda:

-People are friendly and polite. When you trip over your own feet, they say sorry.

-The weather is unbelievably gorgeous every. single. day. You have not experienced good weather until you come to Uganda.

-The food is to die for. I love me some chipati, pilau, and fresh fresh fresh pineapple. Yum.

-The last time I was in Africa, I felt like such an outsider looking in on African life. Now I feel like I am one - because I'm married to one.

-Everything is so green and lush. Even in the city. Prettiness all around me.

-Seeing Kelsey again has sucked. I don't know why we were ever friends. JUST KIDDING! I love that girl and the fact that I get to spend time with her in addition to my family and husband is a huge bonus.

-Speaking of my family - they are awesome. Yesterday Kels and I taught Grace (Frank's youngest sister) how to make pizza and it was such a great day. I have loved spending time with them and getting to know them : )

Because Frank's family was unable to attend our wedding, Frank and I decided to do a reception here in Uganda. His sisters planned the entire thing and it was so great. We had a thanksgiving service at the church with worship, a sermon (which was awesome), and prayers. Then we invited people to the reception at a Chinese restaurant. I could go on and on about the reception, but I'm just going to sum it up with this little nugget of gold: My womb was blessed by an auntie. She really wants twins.

I'm going to get on that right away.

The last weekend!

Sarah and I had the pleasure of attending Erin and Ian's wedding this weekend. Has there ever been a cuter couple? Erin looked stunning. Stuhning! Also it was decided that they are the world's whitest couple. Their children will probably have such fair skin they will be transparent. I somehow managed to not get a single decent picture of them so instead this is a picture of us! Sarah and Francis and me.
